The European XFEL, the largest source of man-made X-rays, is already a reality and APRIM is proud to have participated in this important European project.
On 1 September the presentation of the European XFEL, an X-ray Free Electron Laser, was carried out in Hamburg, which will allow the analysis of atomic-scale matter as never before.
This important project is the result of the collaboration of eleven countries, including Spain, which through CIEMAT has been in charge of the design, development, manufacture and supply of XFEL linear accelerator superconducting magnets as well as some components of systems called intersections.
Once its technical capacity was guaranteed, APRIM collaborated with CIEMAT and in particular intervened in the manufacture of a Quadrupole Positioning Table.
